Football fans, journalists and ex-players slammed Sevilla star Joris Gnagnon for his cynical foul on Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci. The Reds took on the Spanish side in a pre-season match at Fenway Park tonight as part of the club's US tour. And the 'friendly' was marred by Gnagnon's actions in the second half. He was instantly shown a straight red card for the shocking kick which saw Larouci stretched off the pitch. Sevilla went on to score a later winner once they had been reduced to 10 men, with Alejandro Pozo getting the goal after earlier strikes from Nolito and Divock Origi. The final score was 2-1 - but unfortunately the match will be mostly remembered for what Gnagnon did.
